I headed to Nashville this past weekend with a few friends and we had a blast (even if it rained the ENTIRE time). I absolutely love Nashville, there is truly so much to do. So I wanted to put together a list of my personal favorites for you all.
First thing’s first, COFFEE & Food:
Nashville has SO many coffee shops and restaurants and I haven’t even come close to trying them all. But I’m going to suggest my favorites out of the one’s that I’ve tried.
Frothy Monkey- there are 2 locations and I always make a point to stop and grab a cup of coffee whenever I’m in town. Their breakfast is also amazing. I’ve not had their lunch, but a few of my friends have and they always have great things to say about it. Everyone is also super friendly.
Milk & Honey: I have always heard great things about this place and I FINALLY got to try it. The coffee was AMAZING and the food was delicious. Be sure to get to this place early though, there’s always a huge wait. We would’ve waited over an hour, had we not chosen to sit outside. The servers and managers were all great!
Relevator Coffee: Great coffee and a fun environment.
Burger Up: If you stop in Burger Up, make sure you try the Fried Mac and Cheesed Bites, they are so good and the sauces that come with them are even better!
Five Daughter’s Bakery: I’m not the biggest donut fan (I know, I know) but these donuts were great, I tried the strawberry chocolate one and the 12 South Location is so cute.
Biscuit Love: They have so many different options: biscuits, no biscuits, coffee, sweets, and even beer and cocktails. The perfect brunch place.
Things to do:
Murals: It’s no secret that Nashville has SO many murals, we tried to stop at all of them. Most of them are in 12 South, so if you want to see them, you should definitely start there.
Broadway/ Music Row: This is downtown where all of the bars, the country music hall of fame, a ton of restaurants, etc. are. You can hear live music pretty much all day and night, it’s a blast.
Igloo Bar: During the winter, there’s an igloo bar on top of Bobby Hotel It’s a gorgeous view of Nashville and you stay nice and cozy inside the igloos. During the rest of the year, it’s a really cool rooftop bar.
The Listening Room Cafe: The Listening Room Cafe is a great place to go and listen to good music and listen to the artists talk. I wasn’t sure what to expect at first, but I’m so glad we went. It was only $5 for tickets and you had to spend at least $15 on dinner/ drinks. The food and drinks were really good, but the entertainment was definitely the best part.
Shopping: There are so many places to shop in Nashville. My 2 favorite neighborhoods are 12 South and Hillsboro Village. 12 South is home to Draper James (Reese Witherspoon’s boutique) & a few other cute boutiques. Hillsboro Village has a ton of local boutiques and a few bigger companies. There’s definitely not a shortage of shops in Nashville.
I hope this list is helpful if you’re planning a trip to Nashville. I absolutely love this city, and it’s perfect for a weekend trip. I’d love to hear other suggestions for things to do, if you guys have any. Hope you have a great weekend!
