I’ve had a couple of friends ask me for this recipe after they’ve eaten them at my house, so I figured that I would share one of my favorite, quick, and easy recipes with you all. These are 3 ingredient, chocolate protein pancakes. They are perfect for after a workout or in the morning for breakfast.
I just want to add that I am not a nutritionist or an expert on health, working out, etc. I just like to share food that works for me.
- 2 scoops of protein powder (I use the GNC Lean shake because it tastes good and has a lot of protein, but you can use your favorite protein powder & I typically use the chocolate but if you’re not a fan of chocolate you can totally make these with any flavor)
- 1 banana
- 1 whole egg
- 1 egg white
I used to mash-up my banana with a fork or whatever I could find, but then I received this Ninja as a gift and I absolutely LOVE it! I use it for pretty much everything, smoothies, milkshakes, etc. It’s perfect for one serving. I just wish that it came with 2 of the blender cups because I’m constantly washing the 1 I have everyday. I found extra blades and cups on AMAZON.
- Mix everything together
- Spray your pan
- Turn your burner on 3 (I have a gas stove, if you have an electric stove, I would do in-between low and medium)
- Let your pan get hot before you pour your batter in
- You can make these any size you want, I personally think the small size is easier to flip & I trick my mind into thinking I’m eating more HAHA
Once I’m finished, I like to add my favorite fruits on top. (Unfortunately this day, my strawberries were going bad so I didn’t have as many as usual). But, they’re great by themselves, as well.
